First Real Snow

So today this white stuff started to fall from the sky again.  I don’t get it.  Yesterday we were all playing outside.  The kids weren’t even wearing their winter coats- seriously.  Mom said it was close to 60 degrees when she got home from work!  Today, there’s white stuff falling from the sky and it’s cold again.  I don’t like the cold.  I’m not built for the cold.  Today it took Mom longer than normal to get home with the kids from school.  Then she made the kids put on all sorts of layers and made them go outside to PLAY in the white stuff while she shoveled the driveway and sidewalk.  I tried to tell them that it was a bad idea by barking at them from inside, but they stayed out there for a while.

Chili Dawg loved the white stuff.  He would go out there and roll around in it and make snow angels.  Chili Dawg would have loved today.  I wonder if he sent us the white stuff?

  1. I don’t know where it came from, Finchy, but we have enough here to share with you if you want to come play in it with me. Here is my advice for the next time it happens: Bark louder! Bark longer! Make sure they hear you complaining. Then tell your mom to buy you a snazzy sweater so you can outside with those kids!

  2. Our two boys were crazy insane over it and acted like lunatics. I was afraid Burley was going to break a leg when he slid across the deck and landed in a heep. If he was a small dog he would have gone under the railing! Stay warm my Finchy!

  3. Beautiful picture of Chili Dawg! Snow is one thing Bo never got to see…I’m sure he would have loved it. I’m glad Chili Dawg sent you some snow. 🙂

  4. I got to see snow a couple of times. I loved it! It is fun. You can pounce around in it. If you pounce around enough, you stay warm Finchy! Silly boy.

Chili and I are going to go make some snow angel-pups. Then we are going to the beach. That’s how stuff works here. You can do whatever you want. It’s pretty pawesome.

Cuddle your Mama and keep her warm Finchy!

    Sending heavenly kisses,
    Angel Abby

  6. Oh, Finchy… my Boxer brother…I’m with you on the white stuff. It’s not as bad as rain, which we had all day yesterday, but its a definately on the ‘things to avoid’ list.
Better to stay inside and keep our feet warm and dry.

  7. I just found out I love it!!! Mom wasn’t sure I would dig it being a southern girl and all. But the coolest thing is if I accidentally trip and fall…it deosn’t hurt nearly as much as hard ground! Falling on my face in snow is FUN!!!

    Love,
    Pegz

  8. Oh Finchy…Thanks for the beautiful picture of Chili Dawg.

When we got enough snow here in the Northeast, I’m going to ask Butchey & Lola to make some snow angels in memory of Chili.

I’ll bet its fun to help warm the kids up when the come in from the cold! But no hot cocoa for you….it is just for people, not for dogs. =)
