Today is my 3 month ampuversary & I get to share it with my grandpa’s birthday- how cool is that?!? Mom has been down in the dumps for the past few days, but I don’t think she wants me to know. I think it has something to do with her having to go back to school on Monday, which means our summer of fun is over. Yesterday she sat on the swings while the kids played in the sand box and petted my fur for a long time. She kept a smile on her face the whole time, but I know her better than that. I could sense her sadness, so I buried my head into her arm in a big hug. Then Finchy got a bit jealous, and started to do his kidney bean dance for attention along with his “woo-ing” noise. Fortunately he has the attention span of a gnat and a kid riding by on a bike distracted him and he had to go “patrol the fence line”. Silly monkey dog, doesn’t know what he’s missing!

it is sad when summer ends, but maybe there are great adventures ahead in the autumn!! happy three month ampuversary – we’ll celebrate here in ET with extra treats just for you!!!

Aww, that is sweet 🙂 Your mom just wants all the time she can have with you, nothing wrong with that. I am glad though that you had that day with your mom and that you have your 3 month ampuversary today!! Woo hoo, and happy birthday to grandpa too!!

I’d be sad too if I had to go to school. That is one HUGE advantage to being a dog – no school! But just think, when your Mom gets home from school every day, you and Finchy can run around in circles like goofballs and show her how HAPPY you are to see her!

I don’t think Grandpa can come to the beach, but I’ll ask him on Saturday when I see him. You do make a good point about when Mom and the kids get home from work- plus I think I’ll get extra attention out of guilt- hee hee.
